Wanna dance again? IDG invests in online dance game.
IDG Ventures Korea (IDGVK) has announced that it has raised $2.1million for SNP Entertainment, the online game design house. SNP Entertainment (CEO Song Young Il, www.snpent.net) is the company under the community dance platform 'Dance Fever'. Based on IDG’s experience with the famous dance game 'Audition', IDGVK saw great potential in SNP leading to Series A equity investment. SNP believes that the global network of IDG will leverage its geographical expansion into China and global markets.
S.T. Jin, Partner of IDGVK said “After evaluating numerous online dance games, following the success of ‘Audition', we decided to work with SNP."
Song Young Il, CEO of SNP, said “SNP will not only develop PC online games, but user-friendly online games for diverse platforms such as consoles and IPTV. Our goal is to foster the company into a digital online entertainment media company with global competitiveness leveraged by partnership with IDG."
